| HOW
TO PLAY |
| Card
Golf is essentially
the game of golf
in a box.
It can be played
alone or with
a group of two,
three or four
players. Each
player is randomly
dealt 14 club
cards. The game
is played and
scored using a
scorecard
from any golf
course in the
world. Players
must combine the
club card yardage
in their hand
to match or exceed,
by as little as
possible, the
yardage of each
hole on the scorecard.
New players are
typically hooked
after the first
or second hole.
It’s simple,
it’s straightforward,
it’s golf
in a box. |
| HISTORY |
| The
golf game Card
Golf was born
on a snowy winter
afternoon when
a couple of avid
golfers had the
itch to play a
round of golf.
Going outside
was not an option,
so they decided
to re-create the
game of golf with
playing cards.
They assigned
each card in the
deck with a golf
club name (driver,
pitching wedge,
etc) and gave
that card the
appropriate yardage
(250 yards, 110
yards, etc). Using
an old scorecard
they found buried
in one of their
golf bags they
began to play
the first hole.
There were a few
kinks to work
out after the
first round; however,
the fellows knew
that they had
created something
special. |
